Buildings & Energy started as a construction company. We were early adopters of passive solar, solar hot water, energy efficient construction, sustainable materials, and construction recycling. We are an experienced resource for costs, technical information, evaluation of materials, and optimization of sustainable building systems and specifications.

With over 25 years in construction and demolition, we’ve used and evaluated hundreds of materials. We’ve disassembled buildings by hand, and observed the success and failure of many materials and the way in which they were installed.
